Together Against Poverty Society is one of the largest anti-poverty organizations on Vancouver Island. Through legal advocacy and public education, we strive to uphold and promote human rights, justice, and community.
TAPS specializes in providing rights-based information and legal advocacy services in the areas of income assistance, provincial disability benefits, and residential tenancy as well as free, year-round income tax filing services.
On a larger scale, TAPS engages in systemic advocacy focused on identifying, researching, and addressing issues relating to poverty with special emphasis on those that affect our local community.
